Battling Elder Loneliness and Isolation (Zoom)

One major malady facing seniors is that of loneliness and isolation.  Clinicians Chenelle Ellie and Maggie Blackburn will discuss why many seniors in our area are facing issues of physical and social loneliness and feelings of isolation and falling to the wayside of life.

They will also provide tools to help participants understand the mechanisms underlying such feelings as well as strategies to redirect energies to positive action rather than depressive reactions.

Although the Zoom virtual format is not meant to provide a one-on-one dialogue between patient and therapist, it does enable a sharing of ideas, techniques, and enforcement actions that can be used individually to combat potential fears and depression related to living alone physically and psychologically.
