Grow With Us
This is your village. We need your help and talents to build the many components of the Village! Specifically, we are seeking individuals to participate in the following project areas:
Website management
Newsletter development and distribution
Management of our participant database
Volunteer outreach and engagement
Planning and implementing social events
Service delivery planning and execution
Communications strategy
Here are some suggestions for getting involved:
Do you like bringing people together? Help with our social and educational programming:
- Help brainstorm on future activities and then plan/organize one or more of them
- Assist with hosting or managing one or more of our online events
- Manage the registration system for online events
- Provide leadership of one of our planned affinity groups (e.g. arts groups, online gaming, men’s social group, walking group)
- Suggest an affinity group for people who share your favorite interest or hobby
- Know someone famous or a local expert? Provide names of contacts for future events
- Serve as a facilitator for our “Conversations That Count” program
- Develop a friend-to-friend network to connect people who need companionship with a new phone friend
Are you someone with good computer skills? Help us improve our administrative and communications:
- Expand our website
- Manage our participant database
- Expand our database management system
- Refine our financial management system
- Set up an online shared drive for the Board to store spreadsheets and other information
Are you a “people person”? Help us bring together residents of the 20852 community:
- Take the lead on outreach and communications with neighbors not yet familiar with North Bethesda Village
- Manage our Ambassadors program, connecting with some of the many neighborhoods in the 20852 zip code
- Manage our volunteer recruitment efforts
Do you like to write?
- Create an NBV newsletter
- Prepare our quarterly community updates
- Help set up a catalogue of NBV administrative procedures
