SPECIAL EVENT -- Recognizing Dementia Seminar

NBV presents

“Recognizing and Communicating with Individuals with Dementia”

Davis Library

6400 Democracy Blvd, Bethesda 20817

More than six million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease of other forms of dementia. Jeff Gruenwald, a volunteer with the Montgomery County’s Area Agency on Agin, will lead an informational session that will focus on recognizing the signs of ementia and providing tips on the ways to communicate with those who have dementia.

The agency’s Dementia Friendly Initiative aims to make our community “dementia friendly.” A dementia friendly community welcomes all members of society, accepts and understands what dementia is, and knows what it looks like. This program aims to share best practices and to spread awareness of resources for caregivers in Montgomery County.
