Have you driven past the former US Post Office facility on Seven Locks and wondered about the building and its current residents?  

Join North Bethesda Village in a small-group tour of the Avatamsaka Vihara Buddhist Monastery to learn about the monastery, its mission, and the community it serves.  Visit the temple space in the former US Post Office facility, and hear directly from monastery representatives about life in the nunnery, its services, its Buddhist tenets, and the Chinese after-school program conducted there.

This tour is designed to help NBV seniors learn about another community and culture, its basic tenets and customs, and how it coordinates its life and mission into the daily life of a busy Montgomery County.
