Membership

The Village

North Bethesda Village is a grass-roots, community-based organization in which neighbors come together to provide mutual support and assistance and to foster social connections through planned activities and events. NBV primarily serves seniors living in neighborhoods that comprise the 20852 zip code. North Bethesda Village is recognized as a nonprofit organization by the State of Maryland and by the IRS as a 501 c (3) public charity.

Types of Membership

FULL MEMBERS: NBV Full members are defined as those individuals who pay the annual membership fee and sign our member agreement. They are generally age 55 or above and reside in the 20852 zip code area or in directly adjacent areas which are not served by another village with a similar mission.

Full members are eligible to receive services offered by NBV, attend members-only events, and participate in all events open to the public.

The fee for Full Membership is $100 for a single individual and $120 for a couple. Reduced fees for Full Members are available on a case-by-case needs basis.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS: Associate Members are defined as those individuals who pay the annual Associate membership fee and sign our member agreement. Associate members are eligible to attend members-only events and participate in all events open to the public. However, associate members are NOT eligible to receive services from NBV.

Associate members may come from within the 20852 zipcode or elsewhere in the County and beyond. They may reside in areas where other village programs are offered and may belong to other villages in addition to NBV.

The fee for Associate Membership is $40 for an individual and $60 for a couple.

Membership Year

Membership begins on the first of the month following receipt of the membership fee. The Membership Year runs for twelve consecutive calendar months, beginning in January. Individuals who wish to initiatemembership before January will be charged a pro-rated fee for the months through December.

Membership fees are subject to change on any anniversary date.
