Service Offerings

The Village will provide services to its Full Members through volunteers. All Village volunteers who are sent to members’ homes or provide transportation have been vetted for criminal background and driving record (where applicable). The most common direct-to-members service that Village volunteers provide is transportation (please see below). Subject to availability, volunteers may also offer light handyman work, help with electronic devices, and friendly phone calls and visits. Please note that all services are offered by fellow members and volunteers and are subject to availability.

Transportation Services

The Village will provide rides to members as follows:

  • Transportation is available for medical appointments (including physical therapy), grocery shopping, prescription pick-up, and other similar errands.

  • The member must be fully ambulatory, i.e. canes and walkers are allowed, but we are unable to transport a member in a wheelchair. The member must be able to get into and out of the vehicle on his/her own. Drivers can provide assistance with folding and storing a walker.

  • We provide door-to-door services only, and are unable to accompany the member inside a facility for the receipt of services.

  • We do not guarantee that a driver will be available for a requested ride. Where necessary, we may suggest alternative services, some of which may require a fee.
