Have your resilience, resolve, and communication skills been tested by the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions? Now that we are starting to reconnect more freely again, especially with our adult children and grandchildren, we have the opportunity to strengthen inter-personal relationships. We also have the chance to empower ourselves and our loved ones with the positive attitude that can carry them through whatever difficult times may arise in the future.
Join us for an interactive one-hour workshop presented by the Parent Encouragement Program (PEP) to reflect on the special role that you can play in supporting your loved ones and in empowering them with a belief in themselves, a sense of feeling connected, capable, competent and courageous.
Such an “I Can” capability can be a more useful measure of a person's ability to thrive in life than the traditional intelligent quotient (IQ). We will also explore the childhood connections with parents and grandparents that helped guide your approach to competence and resilience, and how you can parlay that knowledge to foster the same in the new generations.
