January weather may be cold, wet, and windy, so what better way to warm up while having lunch than trying the Yummy Bowl Mongolian Hot Pot restaurant in the west side of the Twinbrook Shopping Center off Veirs Mill Road?

While the restaurant also serves soup/salad/appetizer combinations as well as sushi, the put-it-together-yourself hot pot is the central meal in this restaurant.  Each diner who chooses the hot pot walks around and selects from a collection of hot pot ingredients, starting with vegetables and ending with the proteins.  After a sauce seasoning or two are selected, the bowl and tray are passed to the central chefs who stir fry the assembled mixture on a large metal grill.  The hot pot lunch is set at $13.  For more information, diners can go to the Yummy Bowl webpage:  https://eatyummybowl.com.  While tea and soft drinks are available; alcoholic beverages are not served.
